On Abendlieder, Philipp Bückle presents calm abstract evening songs to sing in solitude as the sun sets.

The four reduced but constantly evolving drones capture the melancholic mood of the day fading in silence; the calm sad atmosphere of the old German "Abendlied" tradition. Philipp says "of course no one celebrates the evening anymore these days, mostly because there is electric light everywhere. So this is in away also about the passing of the time and the melancholia that comes with it."
